A visit to the menagerie on Anzac weekend

Karla and I popped in to see den and tash on the way to see Henry and Julia and their fresh new daughter. This is Oscar.

Just before dawn at Flat Rock.

This is yesterday morning - just before I headed out for a surf. Found out that my arms don't work very well two days in a row. So just a little surf, but well worth the effort.

Ahhh thats why I live here!

I headed out early for a surf this morning - got down tot he beach just before 6 just as the sun was rising. (Karla is working as a posty so I get up with her in the mornings sometimes) Offshore breeze, nice little 2 to 3 foot waves and there were dolfins playing in the waves as I paddled out and the sun creeping up behind the breaking crests. Magic stuff!! I even managed to ride a wave properly all the way in in from the end of the point not bad considering my recent efforts at stacking on every wave.
To top it all off there was only one other person out there, an offshore breeze and heaps of time between waves so paddling out wasn't too hard. All up nearly 2 hrs in the water and I still made it to work before 8.30.
Yup its worth not living in Sydney :)

Alright Already - an update for jim :)

Over Easter Karla and I wnet down to Diggers Camp near Wooli on the coast for a day or so then inland up to Gibralter Range NP. On the way up there we found this camping site on the Mann River and Caingee - A free spot on a river flat. A beautiful big river with deep clear water and a rocky bottom, and huge open pools to swim in - and it was warm!
So I took some night shots. Not sure which one of these I like better..
